Open Build → Ascendancy Roulette. Over the game it runs as a tool window, launched from the feature bar (it is there by default) or from a hotkey. The Ascendancy Roulette hotkey is unbound by default, so assign one under Overlays → Hotkeys.
The wheel holds every PoE2 ascendancy, one slice each. It picks an ascendancy and nothing else. It doesn't choose a skill, a build or a league for you.
The two modes
The switch above the wheel sets the mode.
Classic. One spin gives one winner. When the wheel stops, the result panel shows the class, the ascendancy and "The wheel has spoken." Spin then stays disabled until you press Restart, so you can't keep spinning until you get the answer you wanted. (You still can. It just takes one extra click.)
Elimination. Each spin knocks the ascendancy it lands on out of the wheel, and it is added to the numbered Eliminated list below. The wheel shrinks as you go (the count beside the buttons shows how many are left), and the last one standing is "Your ascendancy." This is the one to use on stream or with friends. It takes longer, and everyone gets to argue about every spin.
Switching modes restarts the run.
Choosing the candidates
The Candidates section lists every ascendancy grouped by base class, each with a tick box. Untick anything you don't want offered, such as the class you just finished or the one you'll never enjoy. Select all and Deselect all do what they say.
- Changing the selection restarts the run.
- Your selection is remembered for next time.
- If nothing is ticked, the wheel is empty and Spin is disabled.
The result
The result panel shows the winner's class illustration. The art is decoded on your machine from Path of Building's public sheets, and none is shipped with ePOE. It is hidden if you have turned the passive tree's Icons switch off in the Character Planner. Find builds opens poe.ninja's builds page for that ascendancy in your league, which is the fastest way to see what people are actually playing with it.
If you have Reduce motion on under Settings → Appearance, the wheel skips its three-second spin and shows the result straight away.
Using it well
- Cut the list before you spin. A wheel full of ascendancies you'd hate playing is not a fun gamble. Untick them first, then let luck choose from what's left.
- Look before you commit. Press Find builds, then open a promising build in the Character Planner to see what the tree and gear actually ask of you.
- Elimination makes a good tiebreaker. If you are torn between three, untick everything else and eliminate down to one.
