Open Workbench → Gems. Over the game, the Gems tool window shows the same page. It is on the feature bar by default, and its hotkey is unbound, so assign one under Overlays → Hotkeys if you look gems up mid-map.
Everything on this page comes from data shipped with ePOE. It doesn't sign in, doesn't call the trade site and doesn't count against any rate limit.
Filtering
The page opens on Skill gems. Three rows of chips narrow the list:
- Kind: All, Skill, Support or Meta.
- Attribute: Str, Dex, Int, or None for gems that don't scale off an attribute.
- Type: the gem types that exist within the kind you picked. Changing the kind clears a type that no longer applies, so you never end up filtered down to nothing by accident.
The search box matches gem names and tags, and it is forgiving: a typo or a partial word still finds the gem. While you are searching, the best matches come first. Clear the search and the column sort takes over again.
If nothing matches, Clear filters resets the search and all three chip rows.
Sorting
Sort chooses the field: Name, Kind, Type, Attribute, Requirements (the total attribute requirement), Max Level or Tier. The arrow next to it flips the direction. Name starts A→Z, and every other field starts highest-first. Ties fall back to name order.
The list shows up to 200 rows. The count underneath says so when there are more, and tells you to refine your search.
Gem details
Each row shows the gem's attribute colour, tags, kind, type, tier, attribute requirements and max level. Click a row to open the detail panel beside the list:
- the skill's description, cast time and max level
- its full tag list
- what each 1% of quality adds
- the Level Progression table: required level per gem level, plus mana cost and critical chance where the gem has them
The ✕ closes the panel.
Using it well
- Check requirements before you buy the gem. The level table shows at a glance whether that level-20 gem needs more than your character has.
- Filter supports by your skill's tags. Pick Support, then search for your skill's main tag, such as "projectile" or "minion". That's a fast shortlist to test.
- Sort by Tier with an attribute filter to see what your stat line unlocks as you level.
