An Expedition site is a chain of Remnants joined by placed charges, and the order you blow them in decides how much you walk away with. The chain planner lays your site out on a map or as a list, works out a Recommended Order, and shows the Expected Value of each Remnant so you detonate for the most reward without stranding one.
Open it from the Expedition hub, from the in-game bar, or bind a hotkey under Overlays → Hotkeys. Each Expedition overlay has its own on/off switch and its own rebindable hotkey.
What it does
- See your site as a map of Remnants, or switch to the step-by-step list.
- Read the Recommended Order — the sequence that captures the most value within your reach.
- Check the Expected Value on each Remnant to see what it is worth before you commit a charge.
The planner also counts Aldur’s Legacy among its jackpots, so a run that can reach one is scored for it.
How to read it
Follow the numbered order on the map, or work down the list. The Expected Value tells you which Remnants carry the run, so if you cannot reach them all, you know which to prioritise.
Tips
- Reach before size. A high-value Remnant you cannot connect a charge to is worth nothing.
- Pair it with the [Remnant assistant](guide:remnants) so the order you follow is also the safe one.
