The Trade Link Builder (Market → Trade Link Builder) turns a few fields into a real Path of Exile 2 trade search and hands you the link. The search is created by ePOE's local, rate-limited trade client from your own machine. It is the same client the price check uses, so it counts against the same GGG limits.
It is most useful for searches you repeat: the base you craft on, the map currency you restock every session, the unique you are watching for a cheap copy.
To open it in game, bind the Trade Link hotkey under Overlays → Hotkeys (it is unbound by default). It opens the builder as a tool window over the game.
Simple builder
The default mode is a short form:
- Item name and Base type — you need at least one. Use the name for uniques and the base type for everything else (a
Sapphire Ring, aWaystone). - Seller status — Online or Any. Online is almost always what you want; offline sellers rarely reply.
- Rarity — Any, Normal, Magic, Rare or Unique.
- Minimum item level — for crafting bases, where item level decides which tiers can roll.
- Maximum price — with a currency picker (Exalted, Divine or Chaos) so bargains lead.
Press Generate trade link. When it works you see Trade link ready, how many listings currently match, and the URL. Copy puts it on your clipboard to share. Open trade site opens it in your browser.
Advanced JSON
The simple form only covers the common filters. For anything else — stat filters, sockets, weighted groups — switch to Advanced JSON and paste an official trade2 query.
The easy way to get one: fill in the simple form, then press Edit generated JSON. The builder switches to advanced mode with your form already written out as a query, and you add the extra filters around it. If the JSON is invalid or GGG rejects it, the error is shown under the form and nothing is created.
Presets
A preset is a saved query, so a search you run every day is one click.
- Build the search in either mode.
- Optionally type a Preset name. If you leave it empty, the item name or base type is used.
- Press Save preset.
Saved trade presets lists each one with its league, type and date. Load puts its query back into the builder (in advanced mode), ready to generate. Delete removes it.
Presets are stored on this PC, not in your account. Their names also appear in the in-game Favourites popover. Picking one there opens the builder with that preset already loaded.
Tips
- Every link is created in the league selected in the title bar. A preset shows the league it was saved in, but loading it into a different league runs the same query there, so an old preset may not mean what it used to.
- The match count is a quick market-depth check. A search that returns three listings is a thin market, and the price you see is not a price you can count on.
- To price the item in your hand, don't build a link — use the in-game price check. See Price check and Deduce. To reopen the last search a price check made, bind Open Last Trade Search. It is covered in Price panel tools.
