PoE2's search boxes accept a regular expression. That turns "scan forty waystones for the three good ones" into "paste a string and look at what lights up". ePOE's regex tools build those strings for you.
Open Market → Vendor Regex in the app, bind a hotkey under Overlays → Hotkeys, or use the in-game tool window from the feature bar.
Four modes, four jobs
Vendor. Filter a vendor's stock for the bases and mods you want. The classic use is finding a resistance-and-life blue item while leveling without reading every line.
Waystone. Filter your waystone stash by tier, rarity, quantity and the modifiers you want or refuse. This is where regex pays off most — you run hundreds of waystones and want a consistent rule for which to run, which to reroll, and which to sell.
Tablet. Same idea for tablets: filter by the affixes that matter for whatever you are farming.
Relic. Filter relics by their modifier set.
Each mode gives you the fields relevant to it — tier ranges, rarity, corrupted or delirious state, wanted affixes, unwanted affixes, quantifiers — and shows the resulting string with a live character count.
The 250-character limit
The game's search box takes 250 characters. Every regex tool in ePOE shows the count and splits longer strings into chunks you paste in sequence. Two consequences:
- Be specific, not exhaustive. A regex matching thirty mods is worse than one matching the five you actually care about, because it matches almost everything.
- Filter for the decision you are making. "Which of these do I run?" and "which of these do I sell?" are different strings. Save both rather than trying to build one that does both.
Pasting into the game
The paste helper does exactly three things: Ctrl+F to focus the search box, Ctrl+A to select what is there, Ctrl+V to replace it.
It deliberately never presses Enter. That is not an oversight — a search box that submits on its own is one step from automation, and the line ePOE holds is that the tool prepares input and you commit it.
If a paste seems not to land, the usual cause is that the game did not have focus, or a stash window was not open. Click into the game first.
Saved profiles
Named regex profiles are saved and, with your account signed in, synced to epoe.io — so the string you tuned on your desktop is there on another machine. Six vendor presets ship as starting points; treat them as examples to edit rather than finished answers.
Name profiles by what they decide, not what they contain: "waystones worth running", "relics to keep". You will have a dozen within a week and the names are all you will read.
Writing a good one
The instinct is to include everything good. The better instinct is to exclude everything bad:
Start with the veto. If a waystone mod makes you skip the map regardless, filter for its absence first. One exclusion often cuts the pile in half.
Then require the one thing you want. Quantity, a specific affix, a tier floor. One requirement, not five.
Check the hit rate. If your regex matches nothing, it is too tight and you will reroll good waystones. If it matches most of the stash, it is too loose and you are not filtering. Aim for something that leaves you a meaningful shortlist.
Iterate against a real stash. A regex that looks right and has never been pasted is a regex that does not work yet.
